Welcome to the St. John's
Early Childhood Webpage!
Our 4K-5K class has been hard at work for a few weeks now.
In our Bible lessons we've been hearing how God created the world and the first people, how they fell into sin yet God still promised to send a Savior, how God saved Noah and his family in the Flood, and now how He keeps all His promises to Abraham and us!
We've been exploring our Math materials such as teddy bear counters, pattern blocks, and linking cubes, learning songs to remember how to form the numerals, patterning, graphing, counting, calendar skills, shapes, and MORE!
We've spent the first few weeks concentrating on the letters C and O and met our first Superkid friends, Cass and Oswald. We love listening for rhyming words and the beginning sounds of words. 4K has been doing a terrific job making paper cookies and gluing octagons and ovals for their C and O pages for their ABC books and working on their names.
The 5K students enjoy their science time in the afternoons appreciating the gifts God has given us by being scientists and exploring this beautiful world with their 5 senses.
We especially enjoyed our time at The Little Farmer hearing about apple production, seeing the bees, touching the apples, smelling the yummy smells of pies, muffins, and caramel apples and the sweet taste of a fresh picked apple!
