   What We Believe

What We Believe about the Bible ~
We believe that the Bible is the true Word of God. We believe the Bible contains no mistakes, errors or contradictions, and although God used human writers to write it, we believe they were inspired by God to write exactly what God wanted to say. We also believe that the primary reason God gave us His Word, is so that we might come to know of His love and put our trust in Him.

What We Believe about Salvation ~
We believe that all people are born sinful and in need of a Savior. We believe we are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus, and not by what we do. We believe that our Savior's life, death and resurrection serve as the one and only guarantee of our salvation.

What We Believe about Works ~
We believe that good works are the result of God's saving work in us and not the cause of His love. As God's Word says - "Without faith, it is impossible to please God." We believe that our life of love and service to Him comes solely as a result of the love and mercy He shows us, and that we can only love and serve Him in the strength that He provides.

What We Believe about Jesus ~ We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who is both true God and true man. He lived a perfect life in our place, and he died on the cross to pay for the sins of all people. We believe that Jesus also rose again so that we too may one day rise to live with him in heaven forever.

What We Believe about God~
We believe that the God of the Bible is Triune, one God in three persons, equal in glory and co-eternal in majesty. God the Father as our Creator, God the Son - Jesus, as our Redeemer, and God the Holy Spirit as the one who creates and sustains faith in our hearts, through the means of grace in word and sacrament.
