G'day mates!
4K-5K are having a lot of fun on our Australian adventure. We are excited to learn about the interesting and strange animals in Australia. We are learning about marsupials and that kangaroos and koalas aren't the only ones with pouches for their babies! 5K is learning how to find Australia on the map, learning about the Aborigines, making didgeridoos, trying out boomerangs and more! We are really excited for our zoo adventure to see a few of the unusual Australian animals.
We are also preparing for our Graduation Service on Friday, the 24th at 6:30pm. We will be performing some of the songs we have learned about Australia and more including diplomas! There will be dessert social following the service. All are welcome!
In our Bible lessons we are learning of the mission adventures of Paul and his helpers, Barnabas, Silas, and Timothy. We learned how the Holy Spirit put joy in their hearts to share the saving news of Jesus, even when they were treated badly and put in prison. We heard how God was always with them just He is with us and gives us joy as we share the news of Jesus with others.
We have finally finished our alphabet adventure, finishing up with X, Y, and Z. The 4K has been busy making "X-rays" of their hands, yellow yarn Y's, and ziploc bags of z pictures for their ABC books. 5K is doing a fabulous job reading and writing. They are even writing their own Superkids adventure!
This year has been a wonderful adventure and we can't believe it's almost done.
We are looking forward to more adventures next year though!
